However, as with many tax relief companies, it’s easy to find a hefty number of complaints under their BBB page and other review sites. Community Tax Relief clearly has the resources to defend their clients against the IRS, but their large size and heavy focus on sales imply that their client standards are relatively low.  This meaning that Community Tax Relief will bring you on as a client regardless of whether you are a strong candidate for the IRS Fresh Start Program or not.

Customer Experience

Community Tax Relief’s website provides plenty of good information for a taxpayer looking for help with the IRS Fresh Start Program. However, based on a recent call with Community Tax Relief, their acquisition team is heavily sales focused. If you owe under $10,000 in back taxes or are not looking to put money down immediately, the Community Tax Relief representatives are not particularly helpful.

Overall

Community Tax Relief is a fast-paced, revenue-focused business. If you are valuable to them, meaning you owe tens of thousands in tax debt and have the ability to pay them up-front, you will get first-class treatment. If not, you might not have a satisfying experience. They are not a scam, but Community Tax Relief is definitely not the most client-focused agency in tax relief.
