The Basics

Tax Defense Network, a Money Solver company, has been in business for 21 years, operating for 10 years under their current name. Based in Jacksonville, Florida, Tax Defense Network’s team collectively possess an impressive 250 years of experience.

Number of In-House Tax Experts

Their website advertises that they employ “hundred of tax experts” across the country, including Enrolled Agents, Tax Attorneys, Accredited Tax Advisors, Certified Public Accountants, and Tax Analysts, but does not provide any numbers.

Success Rate

Tax Defense Network boasts its title of the nation’s “best tax relief company for two consecutive years,” but does not provide the source. Additionally, the website advertises that the firm has consulted on over $17 billion in tax debt but does not detail the number of tax debts actually settled or how much the company has saved its clients in back taxes.

Customer Experience

The firm has maintained an A+ rating on the BBB, and several customer testimonials highlight Tax Defense Network’s attention to detail and willingness to walk their clients through the process step by step. As with any large organization, however, there is a multitude of documented negative experiences, with common themes including lack of timely correspondence and “empty promises.” It should be noted that much of this negative sentiment could simply stem from a client not being completely satisfied with their settlement, which is often out of the agency’s hands.

Overall

The number of testimonials emphasizing lack of communication is quite off-putting, but those who did manage to keep in contact with their tax professionals appear to be extremely happy with their experience. If you manage to get through to your case worker, this company could prove to be worth your while.

The Review

Tax Defense Network

3 Score

Tax Defense Network has had quite the reputation throughout its 22 years of business. A quick internet search easily reveals a number of negative reviews and even a history of some law suits. However, upon deeper research, the company has actively worked on its reputation and seems to be doing some good work. While a success rate is not advertised, the company claims to have helped its clients save over $17 billion dollars in tax debt. With any large company, you may not get the personable touch as you would with a more client-focused team, but many find comfort in working with one of the nation's largest firms.
